My erasure poem's title is "C.H.G.Pouchet", and the title is important. "C.H.G.Pouchet" is an author abbreviation used in botanical citations. Outside of botanical esoterica, almost nobody knows the abbreviated naturalist's name, and I won't name him here; almost nobody has read his racist book, which is the source for my erasure poem. My hope is that my use of his author abbreviation will supplant his author abbreviation in search engines' algorithms and he'll be erased. That's the poem's final and most important erasure: the man himself.
