Poetry by Paul Robert Mullen

day 6

home seems cosy

i prepare for the worst

scrub the surfaces

bleach pots & pans

scale doorframes with disinfectant

turn Coltrane

that little bit quieter

i don’t want people knowing i’m in

you mustn’t have anyone round

Mum says

in that voice

turn on the news

volume off

but the faces say it all

this

is

science

fiction
