Poetry by Marlena Dominique Chiles

Gnawing at my chest

It cannot seem to rest

The pounding of my heart

Forced from its love, to part

Even if it broke free

The meet would not result in glee

Be still, my broken heart

Accept this as a new start

I feel your pain

A cut so deep, we should have been slain

But we ar ealive

We must learn to survive

I have failed my heart and self

I must guard us, and prevent painful regrets

Reigning from the suburban town of Fairfield, California, Marlena Dominique Chiles can be found binge watching the latest anime series or the Office. At the age of 25, Marlena is already a loving mother of one cat, with a serious addiction to sushi.
