Poem by Sasha Monroe

Daydream

for i crave ideas

i build new lives in the blink

of a (rose colored) eye

;erasing fears

& imagining life without

shades of grey

life without

days of shade

i draw the sun

i paint the passionate sky

all with a

(quill ink pen)

for life is good

in this painted mind of mine

Sasha Monroe is a young student who uses poetry as a creative outlet, while also studying math and economics. Both of which are very strict fields of study, therefore Monroe is constantly in desperate need of an emotional escape. Monroe's desire for escape leads to poems that are generally more vague and freeform.
