magic and they called her witch: the woman who was not afraid

to burn; once, only a girl who wanted to escape the weight of

life, she made like a bird & hollowed her bones to fly.

see the widow-mistress fit into her newfound freedom—

like a root finds its way to water, she has wanted for

eternity
