GRIEF

for Wei

Some years post-crime

I removed the bones from their furtive grave

Some flesh clings on:

This dried husk of a man who used to be

Someone I loved

And loathed about the same on the scale.

Somehow he lives on

In me; blood under skin, ash under nails.
