The Taboo of Wearing a Black Thong

By now, we’ve all gotten to the point

where talking about sex is natural.

My best friend bought a black, lacey thong from Urban Outfitters,

and at the same time, we’re talking about how much we have grown

since our freshman year boyfriends, both to whom we now say,

“we don’t fuck with you period.”

Having sex may be natural,

but something I usually covert with is self-love,

not making it for somebody else.

I, too, will buy a black, lacey thong from Urban Outfitters

out of the love I have for myself.

Self-love is not “distasteful,” but it is a product of growth.
