The Sky is like me
I too have been standing long
tight-lipped like the horizon
bleeding into the bosom of the crimson skies
many moons have died in the lap of this ocean
the sky is like me
endless and lonely,
lapping the pain of these unshed tears
in those pluvial clouds,
I have been duped endless times
by the promises of these cumulus clouds
hiding the broken promise of cleansing rains,
but floating along with the winds
/these unscrupulous zephyrs/
my silence is neatly tucked
in the cracked lips of the horizon,
a dwindling hope I savor
as I see the crows
disappearing into the horizon,
a dotted line of pain
lost forever.
I lose myself to the ocean
Those brittle thoughts
are spilling on this yellow tinged papyrus
which now vows to hold
and savor my truth
like an ocean
lapping the death of the thousand moons
in his bosom
vowing to keep those
promises unscathed
the truth has been erased and rewritten
for a million years
mottled across the skins of humans
yet we fail fervently
trying to decrypt that darkness and
empty loneliness
deep seeded in the black swirl of the eye
You can count the scars on the moon
imbued by the moonlight
and count on your fingers
the wiggling worms
thriving under the rock by the river
you claim to be their guardian
yet you fail to taste my salty tears
as they fall through their defined trajectory
and gets braided with the salty taste of the ocean
you finger trace my name on
the salt and sediment resting gently
filling the gaps in my fingers
my loneliness has a companion
the waves thrash themselves to the shores
erasing a bit of my existence
with every pounding.
