1 Poem by Adaeze I.

Divine Intervention this is what she has been waiting for, an answer, finally delivered, splitting her body as she rips herself open then inside out / becoming someone new as lightening barrels through the air whole and sublime / breaking into her flesh and towards the dark ground, entwined with thunderous octaves that parts her lips / sound and fury escaping through her throat — ragged

but free.

Adaeze I. is a 20 year old Nigerian-American QWOC from Florida who currently attends university studying psychology. Besides poetry, she enjoys reading, tea, stormy weather, and catching up on shows like Black Lightning and Doctor Who. You can usually find her in the farthest corner of her favorite local bookstore.
