and those—usually just one—
who we'd take all over again
in an instant.
Even though we know
there's no use in hoping
for a reconciliation,
we can't help but
fantasise about them
in a daydream
merged with memories
and wondering
if they'd be game
if they only knew

most definitely,
would be.
